Can Spam laws before beginning any email blasts. Basically, what you are planning on doing is spamming your potential customers. This is illegal in most States and there are heavy fines. That's why you must have permission from the recipient. Not to mention the fact that most of your prospective customers will likely be turned off you and I'm sure that's not your intention. However, if your prospective clients are local, a direct mail campaign would be better; a letter or postcard type of mailing. There's nothing illegal about that yet
