Default BOOK REVIEW - The Virtual Assistant’s Guide to Landing 12 Clients in 12 Months
The Virtual Assistant’s Guide to Landing 12 Clients in 12 Months is chock full of marketing advice for any Virtual Assistant who needs a few fresh ideas. Whether you’re a veteran VA facing a slow period or a newbie just getting started, there is a wealth of valuable information in this eBook as the author shares marketing techniques that helped her build a thriving VA practice within one year of opening her business.

The author guides you through the basic steps of creating the all-important marketing plan and asks many thought-provoking questions to help you along the way. You’ll learn about other basics, like the importance of creating a professional web site, business cards, and brochures. The meat of this eBook gets into resources that you should consider when marketing your business, such as target market associations and networking opportunities. The author offers helpful tips on how to make the most of networking events to ensure that people will remember you and that you will walk away with the most possible leads.

You will also learn some tricks to get the most response from a direct mail campaign, along with suggestions of important people to include when you’re ready to start spreading the word about your new business.

The author also discusses the benefits of education, training, and certification, especially if you’re targeting a specific niche market. Then she gets into the tricky subject of discussing rates with potential clients, giving examples of how she overcomes objections and helps clients see the true value in her services. You won’t want to miss this section, especially if you have difficulty justifying your rates when speaking with prospects (as many of us do!)

Another interesting section of this eBook shares the methods that worked to help the author land each of her current clients. This information helped me determine where to concentrate my marketing efforts, based on what seemed to be most successful. (Of course, everyone is different, and different methods may work better for you. As the author points out, your best bet is to try various techniques until you find those that work best for you.)

I found the information in this eBook to be informative and interesting, and it's well worth checking out!
