Sometimes you get what you pay for. One of my local clients uses Avast and had it on all of their office computers. One of the computers was having trouble with pop-ups and such whenever he went to the internet, it was obvious virus problems.

I did a bunch of clean up for him but couldn't get rid of it all, so I finally downloaded McAfee and it discovered and deleted over 349 viruses, spyware, adware, etc. off of the computer that Avast hadn't done anything about. I'm now in the process of putting McAfee on all of the computers (it happened this week).
