I purchased the original template design from Template Monster to use for my website (lisarwells.com) then I tweaked the newsletter to match. Kept the look, feel, colors, etc. and just shortened the header to fit.
I do web development so it's just a matter of editing the Photoshop files to fit the ezine format. I then do everything manually in a web editor and then hand-code so it looks good in Gmail, Outlook, etc.
Sounds like a lot, but I've done it so many times it feels like old hat
