Mary - I know of writers here in Australia being paid $1000 AUD for 4 articles. Charge your full rate and be proud of what you do. Let the tyre kickers kick and practice your elevator speech etc on them. I had a tyre kicker and wrote this
post in response on my blog. Keep up the good work and know that there are people out there who do recognise the value of a good writer/VA.
