Be aware, that even if you purchase an image or use a royalty free image, there can still be restrictions on how the image is used such as they may have stipulated that the image cannot be used for commercial gain.

Unless this person who is doing the work for is doing it for free, I'd find someone else who is willing to do the creation or do the searching for an appropriate graphic with the appropriate license. A good graphic designer would do that.
