Where to get tax forms NOW?
Hi all,
This may sound like a ridiculous question, but heck, you all are forgiving. I'm irritated and sick and can't even think how to Google for this answer.
I have a client who still hasn't delivered the 1099 I've been requesting since January. I NEED to get my paperwork to my account and can't wait for Miss Client any longer, so I'm going to do it myself.
Not so fast...my local library never received 1099s this year--every other form imaginable, but no 1099s. My local post office tells me it hasn't received tax forms at all in five years. IRS Web site warns users not to download the 1099 directly from the site but instead to order it, or risk a $50 penalty. But I can't wait another week for the mail. Who else, locally, might have 1099s readily available?
