Hi everyone! This is part 2 of my "cooking with articles" thread based on the teleseminar by Kim Lednum.
Last time we discussed how article writing is like cooking. If you follow the recipe you can’t go wrong. Today we’ll look at the recipe for writing a “list” article.
A "List" article is one of the most popular and easiest kinds of articles to write. An example of a List article might be; Top 10 ways to market your VA business, 7 tips for getting clients, 3 myths about Internet Marketers, etc.
When writing a List article there are 5 tips to remember:
1. Make lists of 3, 5, 7, or 10 myths, mistakes, ways etc. People can remember these easily.
2. start with a short introduction of several sentences
3. present your list by numbering each item in the list
4. keep each item in the list a description of a few sentences
5. keep the # of tips in your title
Next time we’ll look at “checklist” articles. (I called them "inventory" articles in my last post) You write these for you readers to use as a guide to help them make an assessment of some sort.
