I did realize, however, that I won't be able to submit this quite yet. I'd planned to send it to the major newspaper in my town, which has something like 200,000 daily readers, but then I remembered that many of the coworkers at my full-time job read that paper daily. Since I'm waiting until I'm ready to quit my job to announce my new endeavor to coworkers, I'm thinking I'll have to wait on the press release. Even submitting it to places like
PR Web is risky since I work at a marketing agency, and we have a whole
PR team that regularly searches such sites. Oh well...like my husband said, it's probably for the best to save the press release until I'm ready to launch the business full-time and then I can let the world know what I'm up to.
At least now it's written and ready to go as soon as I'm ready to submit it!
