Re: Contemporary Business Solutions
I registered my business with the State of Iowa last Tuesday, so it's finally official.
I was laid off from a 6-year-long position supporting the Director of International Sales and Marketing of a poultry genetics company. Needless to say, this year has been rough. I did work a few months this summer at a new job and was laid off again. Enough was enough.
I decided that I work best when I'm my own boss - and when I'm at home. I took stock of my skills and came across the concept of a "Virtual Assistant" and decided recently to put the majority of my efforts into this venture. I'm extremely excited and am already having meetings with potential clients. I still need to develop my website, get business cards and a logo, but I can still start working with clients and earning an income.
I've been reading various threads on this website to do some research and look forward to learning from and sharing with all of you
